Ireland and the Great Famine of Records: How to Find Your Irish Ancestors

I recently taught a class on how to manage family history work in Ireland. Researching family in Ireland is quite a challenge but it can be done, and it can be fun and rewarding! I’ve attached the handout for the class. Most of my experience is researching in Ireland proper, so this information is most relevant there, although there are also some resources listed for Northern ireland.

Good hunting!
