Not Your Grandmother is Toni Thomas, and (she may not be yours but) she IS grandmother to Ben, Alena, Oliver, Cash, Mimi, Xavier, Cai, Henry, Arie, and Alice.
Toni lives for family, adores puzzles, and can’t stop writing; this website grew out of those three loves, and as an excuse to justify all of the time she spends chasing family members across time and continents.
Toni Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Brigham Young University, and has pursued graduate studies in Mathematics at Cal State University San Marcos. She turned to writing after the onset of children and Rheumatoid Arthritis limited the other activities she had been fond of pursuing.
Toni’s writing and editing credits include, From Grandma With Love: A Legacy of Values, Jimi Hendrix: Voices from Home (editor), and many magazine and newspaper articles. Toni also writes song lyrics and hymn texts, and has written five musicals. She has the good fortune to collaborate with amazing musicians such as Brett and Brandon Stewart of Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, Diane Tuiofu, Norm Boaz, Daniel Carter, Benjamin Salisbury, Sally DeFord, and others.
Toni and her husband Norman have three children and ten grandchildren. They reside in the lovely community of Poway in southern California.
